She spent the majority of her childhood in Bishop's Waltham. At nine she joined Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. She co-starred along with Bill Nighy and Tom Courtenay in Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill, a comedy drama written by Jack Rosenthal. Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams are judges on Britain's Got Talent. In 2006, she was a judge on the show.
